Yes! We are always excited to welcome new patients of all ages to the Oaks Dental Group family. What should I bring to my first dental appointment?

To help make your first visit as seamless as possible, please arrive about 15 minutes early to fill out our new patient paperwork (or bring your completed downloaded forms with you). Be sure to bring a valid photo ID, your current dental insurance card, and a list of any medications you are taking. If you have had digital dental X-rays taken at another office within the past year, please request to have them forwarded to our office ahead of your visit.

Where is your Paso Robles dental office located, and what are your hours?

Our office is located at 2727 Buena Vista Drive, Suite 110, Paso Robles, CA 93446, right off Highway 101 for an easy commute from surrounding areas like Templeton, San Miguel, and Atascadero. To accommodate your busy schedule, our office hours are:

Monday through Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday: Closed

Do you accept dental insurance, and what payment options do you offer?

We want quality dental care to be accessible and stress-free. Oaks Dental Group proudly accepts a wide variety of dental insurance plans, including major providers like Delta Dental PPO and Premier networks. For any out-of-pocket expenses or patients without insurance, we accept cash, major credit cards, and partner with flexible financing services like CareCredit. Our friendly administrative team is happy to help you navigate and maximize your specific benefits.

What can I expect during my comprehensive new patient exam?

Your first visit is all about getting to know you, your dental history, and your smile goals. Dr. Shadwick will perform a thorough evaluation, which includes a gentle oral cancer screening, a check of your periodontal (gum) health, and a close examination of your teeth using modern, low-radiation digital X-rays. Then, one of our skilled dental hygienists will complete a professional teeth cleaning. If any treatment is recommended, Dr. Shadwick will sit down with you to explain his findings clearly so you can confidently choose the best path forward.
